The Smart Meter Key Infrastructure (SMKI) is one of the primary mechanisms to secure communications between Users and smart metering devices such as smart meters and communications hubs.
SMKI Certificates used are to sign messages between SEC parties and devices. They are also used to sign DUIS commands sent to the Data Service Provider.
On this page you can access the documents that have been created to enable DCC, SEC parties and Registration Data Providers who use the SMKI service to understand their rights and obligations.
You can find the relevant SEC appendices, such as SMKI Device Certificate Policy, SMKI Organisation Certificate Policy and SMKI Compliance Policy on the SEC website.
DCC has also published a SMKI user guide (including a guide for both SMKI and the SMKI Repository) on the Live Operations area of SharePoint, which is available to registered users.
Appendix E of the SMKI RAPP obliges the DCC to publish a list of acceptable documentation that may be used as evidence of an individual's identity. The list is taken from GPG45 and is available here
