In August 2021, DCC consulted on streamlining the existing SMETS1 Uplift Testing regime via the amendments the SEC Variation Testing Approach Document for SMETS1 Services (SMETS1 SVTAD). The consultation closed on 2 September 2021 and DCC provided the conclusion report to the Secretary of State on 16 September 2021. On 21 September 2021, the Secretary of State indicated to DCC that they will not be directing DCC to not modify the SMETS1 SVTAD. On this basis, DCC will now be taking steps to modify the SMETS1 SVTAD on 22 September 2021 as described in the conclusions report.
