The TMAD sets out the requirements and obligations for migrating SMETS1 Devices on to DCC systems. Migration of SMETS1 meters has completed following Secretary of State approval of the Requesting Party Decommissioning Timetable for the final SMETS1 cohort, MOC (Secure).
As the SMETS1 TMAD approaches its expiry date, DCC has reviewed the document for any content that is required to be retained. In October 2025 we proposed that those clauses identified for retention are added to SEC Appendix AM or to SEC Appendix AC (Inventory, Enrolment and Withdrawal Procedures).
The consultation responses received support our proposals and we have now recommended that the Secretary of State Designate the changes.
We have provided here, our consultation conclusion and recommendations to the Secretary of State, and updated versions of SEC Appendix AM and SEC Appendix AC.
