Proposed Amendment to the April 2026 – March 2027 BCDR Test Schedule

Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Procedures help to ensure Services can continue to be provided with as little disruption as possible for DCC customers and consumers in the event of unexpected outages. BCDR Tests help to validate that these procedures enable Services to continue to function or be effectively recovered in the event of a disaster or unforeseen outage.

In November 2025 we consulted on proposed BCDR Test dates between April 2026 and March 2027 and issued out conclusion in February 2026.

We have now become aware of a change to one of our systems that had originally been planned as a non-service impacting test. In order to prove the Disaster Recovery procedures a live BCDR Test is now required.

This consultation provides details on the system changes and the need to complete a live BCDR Test and proposes a new testing date.

Also provided within the consultation is a tracked changes version of our BCDR Test Schedule showing this service provider being removed from non-system impacting tests and added to service impacting tests.

We recognise that additional outage impacts our customers but consider that scheduling a live BCDR Test in this scenario is prudent to ensure confidence in our BCDR procedures.

BCDR Tests have been organised into the following categories:

  • Non-Service Impacting BCDR Tests outside of DCC Live Systems
  • Non-Service Impacting DCC Live System BCDR Tests
  • Service Impacting DCC Live System BCDR Tests
