DCC appoints Gavin Robertson as new Chief Financial Officer

We are pleased to announce that Gavin Robertson has been appointed as DCC’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will start on 10 March 2025.

Gavin brings a wealth of experience to this critical role. Since early 2022, Gavin has been an invaluable member of the DCC as our Director of Risk and Assurance. In his time at DCC, Gavin has demonstrated exceptional leadership, business acumen, and a deep commitment to our success.

Most recently, he ran his own consultancy company providing financial management, financial process, risk and control consultancy to start-up businesses and SME’s.

Commenting on Gavin’s appointment, interim Chief Executive Officer, Colin Sempill, said: "I hope everyone will join me in congratulating Gavin on his appointment. I am confident that his expertise and leadership will continue to help DCC as we move into the next chapter.”

Colin added, “I would like to extend my thanks to Neil Smith, who has been serving as our interim CFO, over the last 13 months. Neil will stay on until summer 2025 to ensure a smooth transition.”

Commenting on his new appointment, Gavin said, “DCC is an incredible organisation, I will have enormous shoes to fill to follow Neil, but I am really looking forward to working with the CFO Team, Board, Executive Committee and all our fantastic colleagues across the business to create the next phase of DCC."
