In March 2026 we consulted on an amendment to our April 2026 - March 2027 BCDR Test schedule. This change was proposed after we became aware that one of the non-service impacting, non-live system tests originally scheduled, should be amended to be service impacting.
The proposed change would ensure that we are testing in line with our published test approach, which allows for a risk-based decision on the category of test each Service Provider should perform, and will provide confidence in BCDR procedures.
We recognise that additional outage impacts our customers, and that amendments to a published schedule are not ideal. However, we also consider that proposing a live BCDR Test in this scenario, following change to the Service Providers solution, is prudent to ensure confidence in our BCDR procedures.
We received two responses to our consultation and confirm that the proposed amendments have been incorporated into the April 2026 – March 2027 BCDR Test schedule.
The updated schedule can be found in the appendices on the conclusion to our consultation published here.
BCDR Tests have been organised into the following categories:
- Non-Service Impacting BCDR Tests outside of DCC Live Systems
- Non-Service Impacting DCC Live System BCDR Tests
- Service Impacting DCC Live System BCDR Tests
