Version 1.0 of the Interim SIT Exit Report for Central and South Regions is being separately shared with SEC Parties, Registration Data Providers and Testing Participants in accordance with Section T2.21 of the SEC.
This document sets out DCC's exit from the Release 1.2 Interim Interface Testing stage for the Central and South Regions.

Update 04 July 2016
On 3 June DCC formally requested the use of four weeks of time contingency for 'DCC Live' (Release 1.2) submitting to DECC a new plan for the DCC, pursuant to Condition 13.16 of the Smart Meter Communication Licences. This plan was approved by the Secretary of State on 14 June. Follow this approval, and subsequent consultation with SEC Parties and other stakeholders, DCC additionally requested an amendment to the proposed start date for Interface Testing, moving it from the planned date of 27 June.
This request was approved, and the Secretary of State (in accordance with the provisions in Section T3.13 of the SEC) has issued a letter directing DCC to determine a new start date for Interface Testing.
On the basis of this direction, DCC can confirm that the revised start date for Interface Testing will be 11 July.
Interface Testing (IT) assures that the DCC systems, including Communication Hubs selected by the DCC, work effectively with User systems.
Testing will be undertaken in accordance with an IT Approach document approved by the Smart Energy Code (SEC) Panel. This includes Exit Criteria that must be met before testing can conclude. We will check that these have been achieved and present a Completion Report to the SEC Panel. The IT test stage cannot be closed until the SEC Panel agrees that the Exit Criteria have been met, including:
Two Large Supplier Parties are required to be ready to start UEPT at the start of the Interface Test stage. Other Parties can conduct UEPT during this test stage if they choose to do so. Further information can be found on the Entry Process Testing page.
Interface Testing Approach Consultation from October 2014 can be found here.
Version 2.11 of the IT Approach Document was approved by the SEC Panel on 8 July 2016. DCC is publishing the document in accordance with Section T3.13 of the SEC.
